    DELIVERY

Delivery is the process of transporting merchandise, goods and other cargo. Most goods are delivered through a special transportation companies and networks. There're well known delivery companies - among them are UPS, FedEx, USPS and DHL. These delivery companies offer express transportation of goods within the country, and internationally. Well established transportation and delivery firms offer a service of tracking goods via Internet in real-time.

Speed and cost of the delivery service are very important and very often you have to choose between cost and speed. Successful transportation firms are able to strike a balance between costs, accuracy and client satisfaction. Advanced transportation and delivery firms use highly complex logistical models to cut costs of delivery services, and keep the quality up at the same.

Cargo can be delivered via roads and railroads on land, shipping lanes on the sea and airline networks in the air. When we talk about delivery service we must not forget about specialized goods and commodity delivery methods, such as: liquid goods, oil, natural gas, power grids are delivered through specialized networks, such as pipelines, power grids and computer networks (Internet) for information delivery.

Some shops and supermarkets are offering delivery services of goods purchased in their shops. Often this service is free of charge. There're also some services available where you can order gifts delivery and flowers delivery in prearranged packaging.
